summer internships - 2010

I have received LOTS of interest in our summer internship program. Here are the details. If you would like to be added to the list for consideration please read below carefully and then click the link at the bottom!

Peachtree Studio & The Wedding Daily Times: Internship Opportunities

the details:

- summer internships will start June 1st - August 10th
- we also have fall/winter semester intern programs, that work as a credit class at your local high school. Ask your guidance counselor about it before the end of this year!
- we are located in the Homberg area of Knoxville.
- must have your own transportation [either a ride or a car of your own]
- internships are non paid positions. we will however right letters of recommendation for use in job hunting, college applications, scholarship applications, etc.
- we will work closely with your school, if they have a community internship program where you can earn school credit
- dates/times will be flexible, when accepted into the internship program we will meet and set up a schedule for june/july/august. You do not have to commit to a certain amount of hours or a set date

*** again just to be clear this is an internship and is not a paid position. however interns have priority when we make hires.

the duties:
[note: on any given day you may be asked to do any of the following tasks - we will train you in all these area, no experience needed]

- package client orders
- answer phones
- make reminder calls to clients
- accept packages/orders/deliveries
- answer client emails/inquiries
- load images in to system
- help with marketing campaigns
- help with a few super fun super secret projects
- keep schedule organized
- book appointments
- file paperwork
- place client orders
- photography assistant at weddings and senior portrait sessions

extra fun projects will include:
- develop shoot ideas and storyboards
- location scouting
- fashion/clothing storyboards and displays
- develop and run contests

what kind of intern makes a good intern:
- super friendly, kind and considerate
- wonderful communication skils
- quick learner
- self starter
- interest in photography, the wedding industry, fashion
- professional
- amazing customer service skills
- works well with others
- experience with photoshop and MAC is a plus

you will learn:

- what it is like to run a small business
- lots of marketing knowledge
- working with clients/customer service
- some photography
- creative process behind developing shoots and marketing campaigns
